Putnam County Sheriff Schedules Coffees With Cops In Mahopac, Cold Spring

In an effort to “break down the barriers between Police Officers and the citizens they serve,” the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is holding a series of “Coffee With a Cop” events, where residents can engage in a thoughtful discussion with law enforcement while enjoying their morning cup o’ joe.

The first event is scheduled for Monday, March 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Freight House Cafe (609 Route 6 in Mahopac). The goal is to get to know local law enforcement officers as well as remove agendas, allow opportunities to ask questions and voice concerns.

The officers participating in this event include Deputy AJ Pizzuto of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Frank Chibbaro of the Carmel Police Department.

The second event is scheduled for Friday, April 5 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at The Pantry (3091 Route 9 in Cold Spring), where Deputy Anthony Tolve of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will be available for discussion and casual questioning.
